Land Acknowledgement

I acknowledge that I live and work on the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Piikani, Kainai), the Îyâxe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.

I recognize this land as a place of learning, creativity, and responsibility, and I am committed to ongoing reflection, respect, and relationship in my work.

Giving Back

My creative work is rooted in care and care is not only something I write about but something I practice. A portion of proceeds of my work is directed toward:

  • Mutual aid efforts

  • Direct service organizations

  • Community based supports serving marginalized communities

Giving is not framed as charity, but as solidarity and shared responsibility.

I am currently building the I Believe Her Society, a developing initiative grounded in survivor belief, community care, and practical support.

The vision of the I Believe Her Society is to:

  • Support survivor lead and community based initiatives

  • Prioritize direct material aid over performative awareness

  • Create spaces, rooted in dignity, safety, and trust

This work is in progress and evolving with care. Updates will be shared as the initiative grows.

Commitment

Impact is not a checkbox, it is an ongoing practice. I remain committed to learning, listening and contributing in ways that are thoughtful, accountable and rooted in community.

Care is not a concept. It is something we do.
